Crowns including CEREC(single-visit crowns)

A full covering over an individual tooth is called a crown or a cap. A crown is recommended when the tooth is weakened by decay, cracks or fractures or when a tooth has had a root canal. It strengthens the tooth by covering over the remaining tooth and filling. It is cemented or bonded permanently in place. Crowns are similar in size and shape to the original and surrounding teeth. They may be natural color made out of porcelain or zirconia. If the biting surface of the tooth will not support a porcelain or zirconia crown, a gold crown is an option.  We have amazing technology in our office called CEREC.  It allows us to make our patients crowns in one day with a similar appointment time and only one appointment which means NO temporaries!  We can do most crowns with this technology!
