What-You-Should-Know-About-Coronavirus-D

Here at Stauffer Family Dental, the health and safety of our patients and staff is our highest priority. We have always followed all the universal precautions to help prevent the transmission of diseases in our office and will continue to do so.  With coronavirus on the rise, we will continue to uphold those high standards and even add a few more precautions to help keep everyone as safe as possible.   Below I outlined a few changes you will see in our office and a few things we are asking from our patients because we need your help, too.

We are closely following any and all recommendations from the Department of Health, the CDC, and the American Dental Association.  As recommendations change, we will adapt also.

You will find a few things different in our office:

  • We will be screening every patient as they come in with a few questions about travel and symptoms when we are updating every patient’s health history.

  • We will be taking temperatures as part of our routine assessment of patients before treatment.

  • We will be having patients rinse with a 1% hydrogen peroxide solution before each appointment.

  • We will be cleaning and disinfecting public areas frequently, including but not limited to door handles, chairs, and bathrooms.

  • We are removing all toys and magazines from the waiting rooms as they are things that are difficult to disinfect.

  • We will make every effort to seat everyone on time and to minimize your amount of time in the waiting room.

  • We will be waiving all cancellation and rescheduling fees and making it as easy as possible to reschedule your appointment, we will even be opening more appointment 6-8 weeks away.

What we need from you:

  • If you have traveled out of the country in the last 14 days, please reschedule your appointment.

  • If you have a fever, a cough, shortness of breath or flu-like symptoms today or in the last 14 days, please reschedule your appointment.

  • If you have been exposed to anyone who is sick within the last 14 days, please reschedule your appointment.

  • Please arrive to your appointment on time but not early to minimize your amount of time in our waiting room, and seat yourself at least one seat away from other people in the waiting room.

  • If you are over 60 or fall into a high risk group and do not feel comfortable coming into your appointment, please call and reschedule.

  • If you need anything or have any questions or concerns, please call us at the office.

Thank you so much for joining us in our constant efforts to keep our staff and patients safe! Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
